I design and facilitate collaborative murals in which learners can engage with their experiences and environment through artistic activity.
I believe that collaboration is a powerful instructional tool which empowers students to think beyond themselves and learn in deep and meaningful ways. When children work together, they learn to share responsibility, and compromise with others to accomplish a common goal.
Through these experiences they gain confidence and start to learn that their contributions have value. They take ownership of the project and learn to associate dedication with a feeling of accomplishment.
